In late 2023, Plei launched another successful crowdfunding campaign on Republic, raising $957,601 from 430 investors. Combined with our 2020 campaign, we have now raised a total of $1,076,591 from 725 investors across two campaigns. The most recent campaign was successfully funded and closed on December 12, 2023. These funds are driving our ambitious growth plans, including expanding into new cities, onboarding numerous new facilities, and enhancing our technology platform.

In 2020 Plei initiated a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for our company. When raising funds for a company there can be many options. For a variety of reasons we decided our best option at that moment in our company's history would be to raise funds from our community.

Plei's crowdfunding campaign was initiated on the Republic.Co platform on January 23, 2020 with a minimum goal of raising $25,000. In less than two weeks, by February 5th, 2020 we successfully achieved our minimum goal. Less than two weeks later, on February 16th, 2020 we had raised over double of our minimum goal.

Throughout the process we were very excited to see our vision of being able to include our community on our mission to make playing soccer more accessible to everyone around the world. Unfortunately, in March of 2020 the Covid-19 campaign officially began in the United States of America. At this time we had a very tough decision to make, and ultimately we felt it was in the best interest of our investors and the company to cut the campaign short. The initial end date of the campaign was supposed to be April 30, 2020, but due to Covid-19 we were forced to end our campaign over a month early.

The Plei crowdfunding campaign officially ended on March 26, 2020 having raised an incredibly $118,990 from 295 individual investors. To say that we are grateful and humbled by the amount of funds we were able to raise from so many people who believe in our mission is an understatement.
