Plei App ⚽ Games Instructions

All of our games are organized by YOU, the players. We provide you with all of the instructions necessary to have a successful experience at your Plei App Game. Simply read the steps below and you will have all of the tools necessary to have a great time at our games. Most importantly: Have Fun! 😄

PRE GAME

The *Teams* for the game can be found in the app once the game is confirmed. Players Must follow the teams set up by Plei. To request a team change, message us once the game is confirmed
Make sure to arrive 15 mins early. This is a demanding sport and requires some warm up
Almost all of our games are played on Turf Fields. Please wear turf shoes or sneakers. No Cleats. Some facilities allow cleats. If they do we will specify in the game details of that specific game
Bring water and a hand towel

CHECK IN

Once you arrive at the facility, ask the employee which field the ‘Plei App’ game is on and they will direct you to the field
If you arrive early please grab the bibs/pinnies and the ball from the employee so you can begin warming up on the field
Once enough players arrive on the field, please use the Teams List on the Plei App to organize the teams for the game
Only the players on this list can play. If someone shows up and is not on the list, they can not play in the game

DURING THE GAME

No slide tackles
Switch goalies every 2 goals or every 10 minutes
All outs and fouls are indirect kicks, no throw-ins
If the team skills are uneven, please switch them up. We usually switch 2 players from each team and reset the score 0-0
Sometimes there are an uneven number of players in the game. If this happens in your game, please follow the guidelines below:

Start the game with uneven teams.
If the team with less players is down by 3 goals, switch 1 person from the team with more players to that team.
Keep this rotation going to make the game even. This is how we always do it and it ends up being a fun time and balances game 👍

KING OF THE TURF

If we are playing with 3 or more teams today, these are the rules:

Two teams play while the other team(s) sits out
Teams alternate every 7 minutes or every 2 goals
The team that wins the round stays on the field
In the event of a tie, play rock paper scissors to determine who stays on the field
If no one scored (0-0) then the team that was King last can continue to defend their turf
A team can stay a *Maximum of 3 times on the field* After their 3rd time on the field they must take a 1 round break

If your team is sitting out, please have someone keep track of the 7 minutes timer using their phone. That way, you know when to tell the other 2 teams it’s time to switch again.

Always announce when there is 1 minute left and 30 seconds left so that the teams that are playing can know their time is almost up
