Our second expansion of summer 2024 saw Plei land in yet another key Midwest zone, bringing our U.S. state count to 18. We officially debuted in both Madison and Milwaukee in late July, with the two Wisconsin cities combining to become the 26th region to arrive on the app! 🦌
The first facility we partnered with in the region is Milwaukee Yard Indoor Sports Complex! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Since then, we have also begun hosting games at Uihlein Soccer Park! Keep reading to learn more about them before you head out to play. 👇
If we didn’t know any better, we would’ve thought that Uihlein Soccer Park opened this year with how well-taken care of all their fields are. Speaking of fields, there’s a lot of them here - 18 of them to be exact - so let’s dive straight in.
15 of these fields will be found outside, spread out across nearly 70 acres of land. Two (2) of these are the park’s designated stadium fields, each equipped with professional lighting, bleacher seating & synthetic turf. The first of these two is known as the Southeast Sales Powersports Stadium, and immediately east is the Pat Jones Stadium.
Between these stadiums, you’ll find paved walkways which lead to a full-service concession stand as well as bathrooms, located in the facility’s Press Box building.
The other 13 outdoor fields - this time all featuring natural grass - found at Uihlein Soccer Park can be found in the surrounding areas of these stadiums. They come in varying sizes, so expect to be able to play games as small as 5v5 and as big as 11v11 on them.
More specifically, Field E8 - located immediately next to the pond found near the southeast corner of the complex - is the smallest pitch available at Uihlein Soccer Park and can be used for 5v5 or 6v6. Meanwhile, Fields W7, W8 and W9 are each about double the size of E8, making them suitable for 7v7 or 8v8. All other fields are full-sized for 11v11.
We hope you aren’t feeling overwhelmed yet with this footy paradise, because we still have the indoor fields to cover.
Head inside and you’ll be welcomed by the final three (3) pitches that Uihlein Soccer Park has to offer: dasher board pitches that are suitable for 7-a-side. Climate-controlled for maximum year-round comfort for all visitors, these fields are equipped with next-gen AstroPlay synthetic turf, LED scoreboards, player boxes and bleacher seating.
Other amenities that you’ll find indoors include fluorescent lighting, two (2) locker rooms, a concession stand, an upper-level viewing area and a members lounge space. Naturally, these sorts of features make Uihlein Soccer Park suitable for all sorts of events, whether it's a birthday party, team practice or a simple field rental with some friends.
