In summer 2022, the Plei App expanded into our 10th City, Los Angeles, California. 🎥 Another one of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with in the region is Torrance Batting Cages! Located in southwest Los Angeles County in the city of Torrance is a multi-sport venue that has been providing local athletes with world class facilities for over 16 years. 🗓️
And of course, they are far from slowing down. Welcome to Torrance Batting Cages, a family owned and operated training facility in the South Bay. 🌅
While their main attraction is none other than their spacious batting cage that is used 7 days a week by players of all ages, they certainly didn’t put any less effort into crafting some lovely turf fields for the beautiful game. ❤️🔥
At Torrance Batting Cages, you’ll find two separate artificial turf field spaces for the purposes of soccer, football, lacrosse and more. The first one measures 11,000 square feet, and is suitable for 7v7 matches. It can also be conveniently split into two (2) smaller fields for 5v5 games. 🙌
Meanwhile, their largest field space, totaling to 13,000 square feet, is best for 8v8 games, but can accommodate 7v7 as well. This particular field is special because it is made up of three (3) smaller fields that can be used for 4v4 or 5v5. 🤝
Multiple field configurations means you can choose to play the game your way. It also means that if someone decides to not show up to your pickup game and messes up the numbers, it’s not really a big deal. 😅
A bit of a quick history lesson: Torrance Batting Cages was founded in 2008 by Tyler Sports Inc. The Tyler family had previously owned and operated the Carson Batting Cages at Alpine Village in Carson, CA from 1978 through 2007 and Lakewood Batting Cages in Lakewood, CA from 1988 through 2013. 📖
Now, they are running their best project yet in Torrance, a beautiful sports facility located inside of Charles H. Wilson Park. 🏞️
Torrance Batting Cages offers unique programs and lessons for the purposes of baseball, softball training. As a bonus, all their spaces - including the turf fields - are available for rent. 🆒
They also specialize in glove repair and relacing. 🧤
