In an effort to extend our presence in the Tri-State Area in April 2024, the Plei App officially debuted in our 24th region, New Jersey! ☀️ We began offering pickup games in the Garden State by first partnering with a pair of veteran facilities: All Nations Recreation Center and the New Jersey Stallions Academy. This time, we’ve joined forces with another local facility known as The Sports Factory. 🤝
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
This Morris County one can, though. 😎
We’re talking about The Sports Factory, located in the New Jersey borough of Lincoln Park. Opened way back in 2004, this climate-controlled venue stands out for a number of other reasons besides the fact that it’s been open for so long. 🗓️
You may have noticed by now in the photos, but The Sports Factory is a dome facility. This helps not only to regulate the temperature inside, but it sure does stand out outside so you know precisely when you’ve arrived at your destination. 😅
The venue comes in at approximately 39,000 square feet, which is enough to provide spaces for plenty of sports, activities and programming. 🏆
Which is precisely what they’re all about. 👌
Let’s start with their main event: their synthetic multi-sport turf field, which is used primarily for the purpose of none other than the beautiful game. ⚽
Fully customizable, this state-of-the-art turf space can be split into either two (2) 7v7 fields or four (4) 5v5 fields. For pickup games on the Plei App, we’ll be offering both options, so be sure to read the in-app game description so you know what type of game you’re signing up for. 📲
Sports such as lacrosse, field hockey, flag football, cricket & baseball can also be accommodated. 🥍🏑🏈🏏⚾
They call themselves The Sports Factory for a reason. On top of offering multi-sport fields, you’ll also find a two-lane, 60-yard sprint track here. Elsewhere within the dome, 2,000 square feet is dedicated to a speed & agility center. ⚡
A further 3,000 square feet is taken up by a glass-enclosed mezzanine, which includes the following amenities:
Like we mentioned, earlier programming is huge at The Sports Factory. Year-round, the Lincoln Park facility hosts everything from soccer camps and tournaments to instructional training programs, birthday parties and private lessons, all in the perimeter of their near-40,000 square foot dome. 🙌
They - of course - boast 20 years in the business and have plenty of partnerships to show for it. For starters, they are the official home of the TSF Academy, an elite soccer club with affiliation to MLS NEXT, NEAL & EDP. 👌
On top of that, organizations like the New York Red Bulls, Matchfit Academy, and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona Academy of New Jersey all utilize the dome fields at The Sports Factory. 😲
