In October 2023, the Plei App expanded into our 16th City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 🔔 One of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with in the region is St. Luke's Sports Center Fieldhouse! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Welcome to St. Luke’s Sports Center, a 25,000 sq. ft. indoor sports complex primarily focused on providing state-of-the-art spaces for the beautiful game. ❤️🔥
Let’s just say that they haven’t lost their focus since they first opened their doors to the Whitehall public over a decade ago. 🗓️
Thanks to new ownership, a remodeling - completed in September 2021 - brought in many new improvements to the facility, including the construction of a brand new turf field building. 🆕
Before we get to that, though, let’s start by diving into their original turf space, known as the Fieldhouse. 🔽
Measuring 180’ by 90’, this turf space was most recently renovated back in 2022 to include new rubber infill Astro Turf. Best suited for 8v8 pickup soccer games, this field can also accommodate 7v7. 😎
Aside from the beautiful game, the field includes line packages for lacrosse & American football, providing a versatility aspect that any successful sports facility needs nowadays. 🏈🥍
The fieldhouse is equipped with two (2) locker rooms, player benches on the sidelines, and an on field spectator area with bleachers. 👀
Let’s move onto their 2021 addition: the Sports Rink. 👌
Named due to the wall boarding that encloses the field which makes this area reminiscent of a hockey rink, this Astro Turf space was the baby of the new owners that took over a couple of years ago. It measures 200’ by 85’, which makes it 20 feet longer than the fieldhouse, but 5 feet narrower. 📏
Being slightly larger, it can accommodate 9v9 games, but 8v8 games will work just the same. 😉
Also different is the inclusion of four (4) locker rooms rather than the two found at the fieldhouse. There is also a mezzanine spectator area that overlooks the turf, providing a unique viewing angle. 👓
Like the fieldhouse, there are player benches available here as well. 🪑
A cherry on top is a gym space, equipped with dumbbells and numerous machines. 🏋️
St. Luke’s Sports Center is very active on their TikTok, where they are constantly uploading cool sports content, ranging from crossbar challenges & memes to interviews, questionnaires & compilations. 🤳
On top of all their amazing sports facilities & spaces, St. Luke’s also offers state-of-the-art treatment for athletic injuries. Some of the services they offer are: athletic training, orthopedics, physical therapy & rehabilitation and sports performance. 💪
St. Luke’s is actually the largest provider of sports medicine services in the Greater Lehigh Valley region, so rest assured that while playing at their Fieldhouse or Sports Rink, you are in safe hands. 🫂
