We are proud to announce that we are now hosting pickup games at the Sports Centre of the North Shore! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner fields in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Located in Northbrook, Illinois, Sports Centre has been serving the surrounding North Shore community for over eight years, offering top-quality facilities dedicated to an array of sports. Before we dive into everything this facility has to offer, let’s start with the most important part first - the footy details!
Sports Centre of the North Shore offers one (1) well-maintained indoor turf field that is perfectly suited for 6v6 and 8v8 matches. This spot is a footy oasis. With windows on top of each wall, you’ll get to focus on the beautiful game from the moment the match kicks off until the last goal is scored. 😍
This field, spanning 11,000 square feet, is also used for a variety of other sports as well. You are able to rent this turf field for baseball, softball and lacrosse. With special focus on lacrosse, the Sports Centre of the North Shore houses the Lax Centre of the North Shore, their lacrosse-specific training program.
The Lax Centre hosts classes, clinics as well as private and group lessons for lacrosse players of all levels. These programs are led by DI and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) level players. Their team’s mission is to train and develop the top lacrosse players in the Midwest. 🥍
The Sports Centre of the North Shore has two (2) hardwood courts for basketball, featuring six adjustable rims, a Dr. Dish shooting machine, and a Lazer-900 dribbling simulator. If you’re looking to try your hand at a popular racquet sport, this space is also utilized for open play pickleball games. Be sure to bring your own racquet and ball! 🏀
Besides great fields and courts, the Sports Centre of the North Shore has amenities that are tailored to your every need. They have two (2) locker rooms, full bathrooms and showers, so you can get ready for your game and freshen up after the match.
Playing intensely for an hour or more can be pretty exhausting. Luckily, the Sports Centre of the North Shore has a lounge area, equipped with leather couches and a flat screen TV. They even have vending machines, so you can quench your thirst and relax at the same time! 📺
With three offices, one of which overlooks the playing field), and a boardroom table, you can rent space here for administrative purposes and storage.
