Plei wasn’t letting up in early 2024. In late February, we expanded to yet another new market to bring our state count up to 14: Boston, Massachusetts! 🦞
Beantown became our fourth new region of the year in just under two months time. The next facility we partnered with in the city is South Shore Sports Center! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Founded over 25 years ago, South Shore Sports Center not only fits the description we laid out above, but they check even more boxes that you probably aren’t thinking about. ✅
Located in the town of Hingham in northern Plymouth County, this completely indoor venue offers spaces for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, football, basketball; you name it. ⚽🥍🏑🏈🏀
Above everything else, though, it’s none other than the beautiful game that takes highest priority here. At South Shore Sports Center, you’ll find not one, but two (2) soccer fields, each equipped with state-of-the-art artificial turf grass. 🌿
The first of these two fields is perfectly sized for 7v7, with its measurements coming out to 188 feet by 88 feet. 📏
The second one, meanwhile, boasts slightly shorter touchlines. measuring 144 feet by 88 feet. As a result, expect to play 6v6 games here. 👌
Switch out your turf cleats for some flats because the footy goodness doesn’t stop here, believe it or not. Elsewhere within South Shore Sports Center is a full-fledged wooden court space, which is primarily for basketball but doubles for futsal. ✌️
This court is significantly smaller than either of the two turf fields, measuring 113 feet by 57 feet. For futsal purposes, this size is perfect for 5v5. 4-a-side is also possible, just be prepared to run a bit more. 🏃♂️
One particular box that was never going to be left unchecked by SSSC: the Skybox Lounge.
It’s exactly what it sounds like: a mezzanine social space boasting an aerial view of the turf fields below. It’s not just a place to spectate ongoing pickup games, though. Here you’ll also find a full-fledged bar area, which boasts both refreshing cocktails and domestic & imported beers as well as a respectable food menu featuring homemade pizza, tender chicken wings and more.
This sort of dynamic is bound to create a unique & memorable atmosphere, and that’s exactly what the Skybox Lounge at South Shore Sports Center offers. After all, they make it clear on their website that memories are made both on and off the field. 👀
The Skybox Lounge holds up to 97 people and is also available to rent for private functions, and a conference room for rent which is ideal for meetings.
