Texas is our second home after Florida, so we were never going to stop at just Houston and DFW. In early April 2024, the Plei App officially expanded into a third region within the Lone Star State: the beautiful city of Austin! 🎸 We celebrated this by partnering once again with a multi-location facility that just so happened to open their first venue in Austin just a few weeks prior: Q&B Sports. 📍
Now, we’ve added another top facility to the app: SoccerZone South Austin! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
SoccerZone South Austin has been a staple in ATX’s footy scene since 2008, offering some of the coolest indoor (and outdoor) pitches in the area! 😎
With over 35,000 square feet dedicated to the beautiful game, this spot has all the makings to become your new favorite place to play pickup soccer–if it isn’t already, of course. 😉
If there's one thing that SoccerZone has a lot of, it’s fields! They have four (4) synthetic turf fields to be precise. Their Wingstop Indoor pitch is perfect for 6v6 matches, while their BS&W field ideally fits 4v4s. 🍃
Looking for something smaller and more fast-paced? Their Schlotzsky’s 3v3 pitch is bound to give you the quick and intense match you’re looking for. 🏃♂️💨
The coolest part about SoccerZone South Austin is that they also have an outdoor pitch, too! The Valencia Smiles field is ideal for 4v4s, so you can enjoy footy outside in the beautiful Austin sunshine. ☀️
With Plei, we’ll be featuring exciting 5v5 and 7v7 matches on their amazing fields! Why pick one when you can have options? ⚽️
Speaking of options, you also have the opportunity to join adult leagues here as well. SoccerZone South Austin also has youth leagues, La Academia and Soccer Cubs programs for the up-and-coming little kickers in your family! 🏆
Fun fact: SoccerZone South Austin has amazing murals all along the walls outside of their turf fields. These murals depict some of the greatest moments in soccer history.
From Ronaldo’s iconic overhead kick against Juventus in the Champions League Quarter Finals to Messi’s memorable jersey holding celebration against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
And the fun doesn’t stop there either! SoccerZone South Austin also offers an All-Star Sports Camp for kids on summer break. Another unique offering from SoccerZone South Austin is their indoor futsal/basketball court. You’re able to rent this space for birthdays and events, as well! 🏀
Despite the name of the facility and court we just mentioned, soccer and basketball aren’t the only sports available here. SoccerZone South Austin offers mixed martial arts classes through Impact Martial Arts, as well as a ping-pong club through Central Texas Table Tennis. 🥋🏓
With all the awesome activities you can do here, you’re bound to work up an appetite. That’s why their restaurant and bar, TacoZone, comes in the clutch! What says Austin, Texas more than some delicious tacos? 🌮
