Where it all began! Miami is where the Plei App calls home. Since partnering with our first facility, we have now expanded to over 20 facilities across Miami-Dade County đ. Since January 2019, we have been hosting pickup games at Soccer City, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. đŹ
Boasting a total of five (5) state-of-the-art soccer fields, Soccer City is truly a must-try for any Miami pickup baller. They offer one 6v6 field (115 x 60 ft), three 7v7 fields (147 x 82 ft) and one 10v10 field (262 x 147 ft)!
Not only is the complex beautiful, it also has everything you could ask for from a large sports venue. From well-lit fields and high-quality turf to free parking and plenty of services/amenities, youâre sure to leave more than satisfied after your pickup game.
Over the years, many former and active professional players as well as celebrities have stopped by Soccer City. Legendary Italian defender Alessandro Nesta, Brazilian winger Douglas Costa, Ecuadorian legend IvĂĄn Hurtado and Colombian singers Carlos Vives and Maluma have all paid a visit!
The synthetic fields at Soccer City are FIFA-certified and were installed by Evergreen Artificial Turf. They are equipped with an impact reducing system known as âShockpadâ, which reduces the impact on the joints and knees, providing a much safer and comfortable pickup experience.
At Soccer City, youâll also have access to a variety of amenities, including locker rooms, a shop, restaurant and social/childrenâs areas. Various food trucks are always present at the facility, namely Saman Arepas. They serve delicious Venzezulan cuisine, offering savory Arepa Catiras, traditional PabellĂłn, tres leches for dessert and more!
Soccer City runs three leagues throughout the year. They have two 7v7 leagues that play on Tuesday and Friday, respectively, and a 10v10 Over 30 league that plays on Saturdays.
Four different childrenâs party packages are offered on the facilityâs website. Corporate events can also be hosted in Soccer Cityâs spaces.
We canât forget to mention that Soccer City is one of the best spots for all kinds of special events. You can catch tournaments, academy play, fitness events, live matches, BBQâs, festivals, fairs, shows and international events all at this versatile location. Thereâs something for everyone here so you really canât go wrong!
