Launched in early 2019, the unofficial Spring Break capital of the world, Broward County, FL, made its way onto Plei as an extension of our home Miami-Dade region. 🏖️
Beyond our partnerships with private pickup facilities, we also work to have a presence at the fields found at local public parks! Plantation Central Park is one of those. As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner fields in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

After all, with what seems like endless grass space that can create at least 20 different fields at once, why wouldn’t it be? 🤷
Welcome to Plantation Central Park, opened to the public way back in 1983. 🗓️
With a wide variety of amenities, this is easily one of Broward’s finest multi-purpose public parks, and certainly the best there is within the borders of the City of Plantation. We’ll explain why, starting with the footy details you’re probably itching for. 🔽
We already spilled the beans three paragraphs ago, but let’s go more in depth, shall we? With over 20 lined fields available to be accommodated at once, Plantation Central Park dedicates a large chunk of their park boundaries to the beautiful game. ⚽
As a result, it might be confusing for those visiting for the first time, so we’ll break it down for you as best as possible. 😅
In total, there are eight (8) divided areas spread across the park’s athletic field zone that contain soccer fields. Fields #1 and #2 which can be found immediately south of Baseball Field #1 and east of the parking lot right off Central Park Drive. 📍
Field #1 is lined for 9v9 or 10v10 games, meanwhile Field #2 is lined the same but also has a total of six (6) mini-fields for 3v3/4v4 within its borders. 1️⃣2️⃣
Moving on to Field #3, this is essentially a track area with fields drawn out on the grass. The full length of the field is capable of 9v9 or 10v10, but the primary lining that you’ll find here is for two (2) separate 6v6/7v7 fields. 3️⃣
Field #4 has the same idea going on as Field #3: two separate 6v6/7v7 fields. 4️⃣
Onto Field #5: this one shares the exact same lining as Field #1 for 9v9 or 10v10 games. 5️⃣
Field #6 distinguishes itself as boasting a bit more width than the other fields, which in turn helps to accommodate full-size games of 11v11. 6️⃣
Same goes for Field #7, except this space also has two (2) separate 7v7/8v8 fields drawn out within its boundaries. 7️⃣
Well, that’s all the athletic fields at Plantation Central Park! 🙌
Alright, you caught us. But in our defense, we weren’t lying when we mentioned that there are no more open space athletic fields. 👀
That’s because this last set of fields is located on Baseball Field #1. A set of five (5) mini-fields are drawn out on the outskirts of this field, which are the same exact size as the ones found on Field #2. 👍
Okay, now we’re done covering the soccer fields at this park. 😅
Believe it or not, the beautiful game is not the main event as Plantation Central Park. There are a grand total of eight (8) baseball fields, all on the north end of the park. In between baseball fields #8 and #9 and soccer fields #4 and 5, you’ll find a set of two (5) hockey/roller skating rinks and a total of six (6) pickleball courts. 🛼🏑🥒
And there’s even more sports action on the southeast end of the park. ↘️
Basketball courts, six (6) of them to be exact, can be found near the southeast end of the park. 🏀
A full-fledged tennis center containing a mind-boggling 28 courts is also located in this sector. 🎾
Finally, you’ll also find an aquatic complex with not one but TWO (2) Olympic-size swimming pools. Wow, just wow. 🏊
Since there are even more amenities that we have yet to mention, we’ll leave you with the full list of them below. 👇
We don’t know about you, but we’ve never seen a park with this many things to do. 😳
