In summer 2022, Plei expanded into its 10th region, this time landing in the City of Angels: Los Angeles, California. 🎥
Another one of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with in the region is New Horizon Irvine Community Center! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

We’re talking about the 9v9 outdoor turf at New Horizon Irvine Community Center, an Islamic organization and independent school in Irvine, CA that is distinguished as a strong academic institution. 💪
Nationally-recognized, the school fosters a positive American Muslim identity, offering spaces for students to grow in a nurturing environment. New Horizon first opened its doors in 2001 has since continued to look ahead to the needs of the community and pushes the school’s mission and vision in the right direction. 🙌
The field was completed back in May 2019 and has since been one of the main events for New Horizon students during their recess breaks. It’s also the home of the Ahlam Soccer Academy, which is open to boys aged 5-13. ⚽
Beyond that, the institution has opened up the field for public use, primarily in the form of pickup games. That’s where Plei steps in. 📲

It only makes sense that a showpiece of a turf soccer field is located in the vibrant city of Irvine, known for its diverse community, open green spaces and architectural uniformity. The city is big on design aesthetic, and the field at New Horizon Irvine Community Center fits right in. 👌
