Whether you’re a casual athlete or an aspiring pro, MSI Sports Complex is where players go to up their game and show off their talent. Featuring top-class fields and pro-level coaching, MSI (Maplezone Sports Institute) is one of the best outdoor sports facilities in Delaware County, PA. Located in Upper Chichester, just 15 minutes from the Philadelphia Union’s stadium, MSI features three (3) synthetic turf fields perfect for 11v11 matches. ⚽
These state-of-the-art fields were made for you to showcase your skills on the pitch and enjoy nonstop action of the highest quality. With new overhead lights surrounding each field, you can take in the nighttime footy vibes without losing sight of the ball! What else could lovers of the beautiful game ever ask for, right?
Beyond hosting footy games here, MSI Sports Complex also hosts their massively popular lacrosse programming on these fields. Lax is so big here that MSI has their own team, Duke’s Lacrosse Club MSI! Youth players can join the club and partake in lacrosse clinics, speed and agility training, practices, high-level clinics, leagues and tournaments. Nicknamed the Shiny Blues, Duke’s Lacrosse Club seeks to develop players’ character and development. 🥍
Another Lacrosse organization that calls MSI home is the Junior Jags. This youth team offers young lax players the opportunity to play in one of the best youth lacrosse leagues in the country (SEPYLA), while providing year-long skills development opportunities and an annual community service project. All skill levels are welcome on Junior Jags!
For the most experienced lax players out there, MSI Sports Complex hosts a Rising Star Showcase. This showcase gives players the chance to compete against some of the best lacrosse players in the nation while also receiving instruction from some of the greatest NCAA coaches in the country. Players can participate in three matches and demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches. 🤩
If you prefer to enroll your child in a football program, then look no further than Garnet Valley NFL Flag Football! This league, the NFL’s official youth flag football program, offers boys and girls the joy of playing non-contact football in a fun environment. Need more info? MSI is also widely known for their baseball programs. On the other side of Sommers Lane, you’ll find four (4) synthetic turf baseball diamonds perfect for softball and baseball games. Like the multi-purpose fields, these diamonds feature overhead lighting. That means more games and more excitement!
Interestingly enough, two of the baseball diamonds, the ones closest to Chichester Avenue, are smaller fields. The two diamonds northeast of these are larger. The large outfields at these two spaces can be used as additional field space for other sports, bringing MSI’s multi-purpose turf field count to five in total! 🤯
Rounding back to baseball, MSI Sports Complex is the premier location for some of the top baseball tournaments in the country. They take Baseball tournaments so seriously, they have themed-competitions with awesome logos to match. Featuring tournaments like Halloween Spook-a-Thon and Memorial Day Blast, MSI has many chances for you to win a championship ring and celebrate like your team just won the World Series! ⚾
Keep in mind, there is plenty of space around each field to enjoy the ensuing action of any tournament or showcase. While some areas have bleachers, others do not. Be sure to bring a portable chair and an umbrella if need be. For big events, MSI Sports Complex offers guests food and beverage from their Field House Grill, too!
