In January 2024, the Plei App officially expanded into our 17th region: Grand Rapids, Michigan. 🍻 We kicked things off in the Beer City by partnering with Grand Rapids Soccer Society. We later added a second local facility to the app, known as MSA Sports Spot. 🤝
Now, we’ve joined forces with yet another pickup venue: MSA Woodland! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Officially the second-largest Michigan Sports Academies venue, MSA Woodland comes in at a grand-total of 101,300 square feet, more than half the size of their Fieldhouse location. ➗
Still though, over 100k square feet is nothing short of huge, and can still accommodate so much athletic activity. And similar to the other three MSA locations, that’s what Woodland is all about.
In a similar but much more minimized setup, MSA Woodland offers both outdoor and indoor spaces that can accommodate a multitude of sports & activities. Starting with the footy side of things, two (2) 5v5 turf pitches can be found inside of a fieldhouse that combine to create a larger field suitable for 9v9. ⚽
Although primarily for the beautiful game, lacrosse nets are also available. 🥍
Head outside and behold: a full-size, grass pitch for 11v11. Just be sure to swap out your indoor/turf boots for regular ones to take full advantage of the natural grass. 🌿
Make your way back indoors because we have another near 80,000 square feet of sports goodness to cover.
Nearly identical to what MSA Fieldhouse offers, MSA Woodland is home to a spacious gymnasium space which contains both basketball & volleyball courts. You’ll find four (4) courts for basketball and six (6) for volleyball purposes. 🏀🏐
Hoops and nets on all courts are adjustable to accommodate youth, women’s and men’s requirements.
Like all their other locations, MSA Woodland is home to both adult & youth league play for all their offered sports. 🏆
Also available at this location is a full-fledged gear shop where you can get your hands on all the latest MSA branded merch as well as shirts, jackets and sport-specific equipment. 🛍️
Last but certainly not least, a concessions area is here in case you get hungry or thirsty. You can also just hang out in this space and maybe make some new friends, we won’t stop you.
