Since August 2024, we have been hosting pickup games at Mr. Gol Indoor Soccer, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come. As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Introducing Plei’s first ever partnership in Miami-Dade County’s second oldest city: Mr. Gol Indoor Soccer.
Before we go any further, the first detail you’ll want to know about this venue is that - as much as their name implies otherwise - you probably already noticed that they are very much not just an indoor facility.
In fact, most of the footy action at Mr. Gol actually happens outside thanks to the presence of not one, but two (2) synthetic turf fields. We’ll start with the first of these two, which is enclosed by boards, meaning you can play off the wall, futsal-style, as much as you please.
Bear in mind that this particular pitch is pretty small and more optimized for kids, so expect to run some fast-paced 3v3.
The second outdoor field, located perpendicular to the first one, is a little over double the size and sized for 5v5. This one does not feature any boarding, so out of bounds actually comes into play here.
Amenities you’ll find outside are picnic tables that you can relax at before or after your pickup game, and a grill for parties & other events.
In case outdoor conditions aren’t ideal (we all know how bipolar the weather in South Florida), Mr. Gol provides that much needed alternative. That being said, let’s get to the indoor side of things now.
One (1) field can be found inside, which is the same exact size as the one outside, hence also being suitable for 5-a-side. This pitch stands out because it’s actually a bit of a fusion of the two outdoor ones: although it technically has touchlines, the field is boarded and there is very little space between the boards and the lines, so you might as well play off the wall here anyways.
Tables and chairs can be found indoors, as well as restrooms.
Mr. Gol Indoor Soccer is a local hotspot for the purposes of field rentals and private parties & events, but that’s not all that goes down here. The facility also runs their own leagues & tournaments, catering to a variety of different categories. They also run a youth academy year-round.
