In February 2023, the Plei App officially expanded into our 14th region: Detroit, Michigan. 🚗 The first facility that we partnered with was Livonia Athletic District, located west of Downtown Detroit. Now, we are excited to announce a new partnership, this time with Michigan Stars Sports Center! 🤝
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Located in Washington, MI, Michigan Stars Sports Center is a state-of-the-art facility for lovers of the beautiful game! Does the name ring a bell? It’s probably because the facility is associated with local NISA (National Independent Soccer Association) side Michigan Stars FC! 🤩
Michigan Stars Sports Center is Macomb County’s go-to spot for indoor and outdoor footy, featuring the biggest complex in this area, by far. With three (3) indoor fields large enough to host 9v9 to 11v11 games and twenty-six (26) outdoor pitches, this facility has every type of field you could ever dream of playing on. 🤯
And your footy dreams will surely come true, because we’ll be hosting exciting 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 matches here on their three indoor pitches. We know winters can get cold in Michigan, so it’s nice to have a full-sized pitch to play on when the weather takes a nasty turn. 🥅
The fun doesn’t stop there either! In addition to playing pickup with Plei, Michigan Stars Sports Center also hosts soccer leagues for men, women and coed teams. 🏆
Beyond the beautiful game, they also offer league play and open play for women’s volleyball, too. This is played on MSSC’s four (4) volleyball courts. Whether you want to commit to a league schedule or not, they have something for you! Side note: these courts can also be used for futsal games, as well. 👀
While Michigan Stars Sports Center has many fun sports activities and options for adults, they also take youth footy development seriously as well. If you have a little one that’s eager to play soccer, MSSC boasts plenty of classes and camps for them to expand their love of the beautiful game. These awesome programs include: Elite Goalkeeping, i9 Sports, Rising Stars, Stars Summer Camp, and Training with the Stars. 👦👧

Speaking of youth players, this is also a great facility to host team practices and birthday parties. Facility rentals are available for special occasions and sports practices in addition to soccer, such as lacrosse, football, volleyball, futsal and baseball! 🥳⚽🥍⚾🏈
Michigan Stars Sports Center is a great place to showcase your footy skills on the pitch, but if you want to see how the pros do it, then you gotta check out Michigan Stars FC. With the same owner as the facility, Michigan Stars FC is a NISA side that plays its home matches in nearby Romeo Stadium. In the 2022 NISA season, Michigan Stars FC made it all the way to the Championship Final where they defeated Albion San Diego to lift the NISA trophy. 🏆
