Back in March 2022, the Plei App expanded to its eighth market, Charlotte, North Carolina. 👑 We began by partnering with veteran facility Creative Player Sports, and hosted our first game there on April 8, 2022! Since then, we have been continuously hosting games there and are looking forward to continuing doing so for years to come. The next facility that we have partnered with is Mecklenburg County Sportsplex. 😄

We get so excited to announce new facilities to you, and we know this one will really hype you up for your next pickup footy session! Located in Matthews, NC, just around 10 miles from Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews is a state-of-the-art facility that’s home to a mix of professional and recreational amateur sports! 🤩
This massive complex has many cool amenities for everyone to enjoy, but one that blew our mind the most was the amount of full-sized footy fields they have. This complex boasts eleven (11) (yes, eleven!) multipurpose, lighted fields for your enjoyment. Nine (9) of these fields are synthetic turf, and two (2) of them are natural grass. 🤯
You just gotta love their dedication to the beautiful game! ⭐
Here at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews, we will be hosting 8v8 and 11v11 footy pickup games. We know the games will be thrilling, because playing on top-notch fields like these often inspire incredible performances. You’ll be feeling like a pro player in no time. ⚽✨
Speaking of pro players, Mecklenburg County Sportsplex has a 4,300 seat stadium that is home to MLS NEXT Pro side Crown Legacy FC, the reserve team of Charlotte FC. The field is a natural grass pitch with lights, a video board, locker rooms and a conference room. 🕺

In addition to playing pickup footy with us here and watching pro soccer matches, you can also enjoy other amenities off the beaten path (no pun intended). If you like to go for scenic walks, Mecklenburg County Sportsplex has a four mile creek greenway that is perfect for connecting with nature. 🌲🚶
Enjoying some time here with the family? This facility has a playground for the kids to enjoy, equipped with slides, swings, and more! There are also covered picnic tables near the playground, so you can take cover from the sun and enjoy a nice lunch in peace. 🧺🛝
