Late August 2024 ended up being quite special for us as we arrived in a crucial region to continue our takeover of the New England pickup soccer scene: Hartford-Springfield! 🎓 This move subsequently increased the number of U.S. states that Plei has arrived in to an incredible 20! 🙌
The first facility we partnered with in the region was Farmington Sports Arena! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Since then, we have also begun hosting games at M/CU Training Center! Keep reading to learn more about them before you head out to play. 👇
Nonetheless, you can still work towards superhero-level athletic status at M/CU Training Center, a versatile indoor venue located in the Springfield metro city of Agawam.
Whether you’re interested in baseball, softball, hockey, golf or lacrosse, M/CU is your one-stop shop to have all your sporting needs satisfied. The facility also specializes in fitness training, hence their name.
“But why is Plei getting involved?”, you may be asking yourself. That’s because M/CU Training Center also happens to be a hotspot for the beautiful game. That being said, let us present to you the space where it all goes down.
The facility is home to an eye-catching blue turf pitch, which sets the scene for some fast-paced 6v6 pickup footy. The space is well-lit with professional lighting fixtures above, so you can check that off your list as well.
Pasted onto the turf In bright red is the M/CU logo, which adds a touch of certification to an already promising field to enjoy pickup soccer.
This is the only turf soccer pitch available at M/CU Training Center, but don’t think it’s the only place to enjoy some footy. Elsewhere in the facility is a hard court, designed for futsal. We highly recommend bringing along a pair of indoors with you when you visit in case you’re still hungry for more goals after your turf match.
This Greater Springfield facility’s versatility shines on full display thanks to the inclusion of their other athletic amenities, one being their two (2) ice hockey courts. But in case you are a field or inline hockey player, the sport can also be enjoyed on both the turf field and hard court that we previously covered.
From beginners to pro, MCU Training Center is Agawam’s prime destination to improve your game. No matter what sport you play from the ones we mentioned earlier, the facility’s staff takes it upon themselves to provide the best spaces possible to progress in your athletic career.
After all, their long list of programming - as well as the presence of a full-fledged gym space equipped with various workout machines and equipment - speaks for itself.
