Just two days after we announced our expansion into California’s capital in April 2024, Plei doubled down by launching in another huge West Coast market: the San Francisco Bay Area! 🌉
Beyond our partnerships with private pickup facilities, we also work to have a presence at the fields found at local public parks! Mayfield Soccer Complex in Palo Alto is one of those. Built by and on Stanford University property, Mayfield Soccer Complex provides what are easily the best soccer fields in this Bay Area region. Don’t just take it from us, though. Feast your eyes on these photos.
The fully-furnished park is home to not one, but two (2) synthetic turf fields that provide an ideal setting for vibrant pickup soccer play. Much of the appeal of playing at this facility also comes from the fact that it’s nestled right beside a lively college community, so assuming you’re currently grinding for a degree of your own and/or in your 20s, you’ll feel right at home.
Even if you don’t fit those categories, don’t think these fields aren’t for you. They are still just too good to pass up thanks to the versatility that they provide. Although one field is slightly larger than the other, they both are suited for full-size, classic 11v11 fixtures.
The kicker here is that they are fully-customizable, as each pitch can be split in half to accommodate smaller games of up to 9v9.
If you need any other proof that Mayfield Soccer Complex is as certified as they come, let us remind you that they have been around since ‘06. Nearly two decades later, they have yet to slow down.
These fields have been a hotspot for all sorts of leagues & tournaments since day one, which can be credited to key amenities such as seating areas for spectators, professional lighting fixtures and, of course, the state-of-the-art synthetic turf that is consistently maintained year-round.
