After two years of success in Los Angeles, Plei made the executive decision to continue its takeover of the California pickup soccer scene. We entered none other than the state’s capital of Sacramento in early April 2024, hence becoming our 21st all-time market and our fifth of the year. 🌳

A partnership with leading 5-a-side chain facility Le Five Indoor Soccer kickstarted our efforts to further expand our presence on the West Coast. 📍

Now, we are offering pickup games at Maidu Soccer Arena in Roseville! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Maidu Regional Park sits on a total of 152 acres that features all the amenities you can possibly think of… one of which is a spacious covered soccer field. 🏟️

Known as the Maidu Soccer Arena, this regulation-size, lighted pavilion in the Maidu neighborhood of Roseville is located at the southwest corner of the park and stages games of up to 9v9.

The arena is a welcome alternative to the outdoor natural grass fields that are located elsewhere at Maidu Regional Park, especially when you factor in that bipolar Cali weather. For that exact reason, Maidu Soccer Arena has become a hotspot for local ballers over the years, primarily thanks to the consistent pickup soccer schedule that the facility offers.

If you’re a Maidu local, then Maidu Regional Park - located off of Rocky Ridge Drive in East Roseville - is probably nothing new to you. For those that aren’t familiar, here’s a brief outlook on all the other amenities that can be found across the 152 acres.

“The developed area of the park (54 acres) includes the Maidu Community Center, Maidu Branch Library, Veteran's Memorial Rose Garden and Maidu Museum & Historic Site. Other features of the park include a four diamond lighted softball complex, a five-field lighted soccer complex, a regulation size lighted covered soccer arena, a skate park, one full basketball court, a pedestrian and bike path, numerous picnic areas and children’s play equipment.”
