Last summer, the Plei App expanded into our 10th City, Los Angeles, California. 🎥 Another one of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with in the region is LAB FIVE. We began our partnership by hosting games exclusively at their newer Gardena location (which opened in October 2022), but we are proud to announce that we have now officially launched at the Pacoima venue!

LAB FIVE isn’t here to mess about. As we mentioned already, they opened up shop in Gardena just a few months ago. The Plei App started hosting games there with the intention to eventually circle back to Pacoima, the home base of LAB FIVE, which opened in 2019. We’ve done exactly that. 🤟
In truth, there isn’t much difference at all between the two locations, besides the fact that Pacoima has eight (8) fields compared to Gardena’s seven (7), and that they are on opposite sides of Los Angeles, approximating to a 30-minute drive from each other on a good day. But we mean this entirely in a good way. 😅
LAB FIVE in general is simply the epitome of what it means to be a modern small-sided soccer facility. It proposes a unique concept and runs away with it, pulling it off in such an overwhelmingly spectacular way that at times it doesn’t make much sense. I mean, where else are you gonna find an aesthetically-pleasing, family-friendly soccer facility that doesn’t even limit itself to soccer? 🤯
We see it every day in today’s society: when you ‘break’ the rules, venture out into uninhabited territory, and walk the path less taken, you’re bound to see positive results. That being said, LAB FIVE are truly trailblazers in what they do. And it’s not only because of what you see at the surface level, it’s also because of the underlying mission. 😤

They want to increase the number of five-a-side soccer players globally, doing so by combining the newest technologies with the love of the beautiful game, all while making their facilities accessible and friendly for all ages.” 💯

The Pacoima location is home to an assortment of leagues, tournaments, camps and clinics, all happening year-round. For the adults, you got Men and Coed tournaments, with a special March Madness tournament coming up on March 18 (cash prizes and all). The kids arguably have it even better. They’ve got a full-fledged academy, skills clinics, afterschool programs and special tournaments as well, such as the Feb. 19 Heart Crusher tournament for years 2009 to 2015. 🌟
With two LA locations, 5-a-side soccer of the highest order, the latest non-infill turf technology in both Pacoima and Gardena, plenty of social spaces, a food and drink menu, and a whole sector just for E-sports, the potential LAB FIVE has in the California pickup soccer scene is virtually limitless. 💫
Top all of that off with a new location currently being built in San Jose that may very possibly end up being their biggest facility yet as well as plans for further expansion across the country, and you’ve got a real powerhouse in the making. 😳
