Just one look at these photos should prove any doubts that you might be having. It’s essentially a full-fledged athletic complex we’re talking about here, and it belongs exclusively to John Adams Middle School.
This outdoor space consists of a trifecta of turf grass fields: one for baseball/softball, one for football and another for soccer. The school even went ahead and included a plethora of hard courts, including five (5) for basketball & two (2) for tennis.
These sports amenities are - of course - primarily used by the students that attend John Adams Middle School, but what if we told you that they are available for public use as well?
Seriously. All three of the grass turf spaces found in this outdoor complex of sorts can be rented out by pretty much anybody, which is absolutely something that the Santa Monica community can be thankful for.
Seems like these fields & courts were just a bit too high quality for the students to keep them to themselves. After all, it’s not every day that you come across a middle school that boasts regulation-size fields.
That being said, Plei proudly hosts 11v11 pickup games on their beautiful full-sized soccer pitch. Alongside the football & baseball/softball fields, these surfaces are very well-maintained and are equipped with lights for sessions that take place after hours.
As far as the soccer field is concerned, the space is extremely versatile and can accommodate everything from competitive matches, practice sessions, friendly games, making it ideal for pretty much any league, tournament or event you can think of.
Of course, we just had to join in on the action as well. It’s a huge understatement to say that we are far from disappointed.
Plei first hosted a pickup game at John Adams Middle School on September 20, 2024, and we continue to play here today.
