Way back in July 2019, the Plei expanded outside Florida for the first time, partnering with multiple facilities in Houston, Texas. As of October 2024, we now boast a presence at over 40 different places to play the beautiful game in the region! 🚀

Inspired by the European soccer club model, the Houston Dutch Lions FC envisioned a sort of hub where players, alongside their friends & family, could gather and feel right at home. The vision came to life in October 2013, just four months after ground was broken.
The final product? A dual-pitch, fully-lit outdoor soccer facility that spreads across nearly 7 acres of land. The fields - each full-sized for 11v11 - feature FIFA-soccer specific natural turf which has actually been imported from The Netherlands. Not only that, but a European drainage system means that rainouts are unheard of here.
The Houston Dutch Lions FC value versatility as much as they do high-quality playing surfaces. Beyond 11-a-side, their fields can each be divided into either two (2) fields for 9v9 or four (4) fields for 7v7. The choice is yours..
Between the club’s name and their European-imported grass, you’ve probably caught onto a common denominator by now. It’s not a coincidence: the Houston Dutch Lions FC was founded and continues to be operated by a Dutch family in an effort to help cultivate a thriving soccer community rooted in the standards found throughout Europe.
Today, that vision is being exercised strongly: alongside their Houston franchise, they own eight other Dutch Lions FC clubs across the country.
Plei first hosted a pickup game at Houston Dutch Lions FC Soccer Facility on October 19, 2024, and we continue to play here today.
