In summer 2022, Plei expanded into its 10th region, this time landing in the City of Angels: Los Angeles, California. 🎥
Beyond our partnerships with private pickup facilities, we also work to have a presence at the fields found at local public parks! Glendale Sports Complex is one of those. As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner fields in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Just imagine being able to enjoy your favorite pastime with a mountain vista right beside you. Would be something truly special, right?
Luckily, you don’t have to imagine anymore.
Enter Glendale Sports Complex. a 27-acre park that has been serving the local community with premium athletic amenities since April 1999. Located right at the foothills of the San Rafael Hills, the complex is home to a number of sports fields for soccer, baseball & softball.
Heck, even lacrosse has a place here.
But what stands out beyond all other pastimes - at least in our very humble opinion - is none other than the beautiful game. For those drooling over playing some pickup footy in this mountainous environment, look no further. Glendale Sports Complex is home to a pair of synthetic turf fields that are sure to satisfy your craving.
Fields #4 and #5 are the soccer pitches here (located on the south end of the park), with Field #4 being a bit smaller than the other. As a result, expect to play some 9v9 on that one.
Meanwhile, Field #5 is pretty much full-size according to regulation standards, so some 10v10 or 11v11 is definitely on the cards here.
We might be a bit biased, but not fully. Baseball and softball are undoubtedly prime occurrences at Glendale Sports Complex, as you’ll find not one, not two, but three fields available.
Two of these actually feature natural grass, which adds some versatility to the park.
If you thought that footy was outnumbered, though, you would be very much mistaken. The beautiful game ties up the score over at Field #1, the only synthetic baseball field available. The outfield area actually boasts a soccer field as well, this one just about the same size as Field #4, if not a tiny bit smaller.
That’s right: it’s a 2-in-1 special.
In case you have some energy left in your battery after balling out, Glendale Sports Complex is also home to two (2) hikable trails: the "Mountain Do" trail and the Catalina Verdugo. Click the link we attached if you’re curious to learn more; you can find trail maps and other important info there.
Last but certainly not least, a snack bar is available in case you get the munchies after a tough pickup game.
For more information on amenities and programming at this public park, don’t hesitate to visit their website. 🔗
