As our 19th market and third new region of the year, Plei officially expanded to the Valley of the Sun - Phoenix, AZ - in February 2024.🏜️
Beyond our partnerships with private pickup facilities, we also work to have a presence at the fields found at local public parks! Friendship Park in Avondale is one of those. As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner fields in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

We’re talking about Friendship Park, one of three (3) community parks that can be found in Avondale. The name is no coincidence; there’s just something about visiting this park that makes you want to leave having added some newfound relationships to your tally. 😅
Friendship Park doubles as a premier sporting complex and a family-friendly destination for a variety of other activities, namely picnicking, fishing & strolling. But don’t get it twisted; it’s soccer that takes the main stage here. ❤️🔥
The beautiful game shows up in the form of multiple large field spaces on the south end of the park. Going from left to right on this stretch: a total of six (6) full-size fields for 11v11 can be found here, with a spacious parking lot nestled in between the first two and the other six. 🅿️
Immediately east of these 11v11 pitches is another large field space, this one containing three (3) smaller lined fields of varying sizes. Head past the basketball & tennis courts and you’ll find one final soccer field, this one equally-sized to one of the fields found before the courts. 👌
In case you didn’t go ahead and do the math here, we’ll take care of it. Friendship Park offers a grand total of ten (10) soccer pitches - across nine field spaces - for virtually all game sizes. 🙌
Despite footy taking a solid amount of square feet at Friendship Park, it’s not the only sport that is played here. We already mentioned the basketball & tennis courts, which can be found near the southeast end of the park. 🏀🎾
If you head up to the north side, you’ll find three (3) baseball fields, two of them sized for Little League and one a bit larger. In between the two Little League fields and the larger field is yet another field space, this one lined and equipped for American football. 🏈
