Late August 2024 ended up being quite special for us as we arrived in a crucial region to continue our takeover of the New England pickup soccer scene: Hartford-Springfield! 🎓 This move subsequently increased the number of U.S. states that Plei has arrived in to an incredible 20! 🙌
The first facility we partnered with in the region is Farmington Sports Arena! As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

There’s no such thing as too many fields, and Farmington Sports Arena is well aware of that. Located in the town of Farmington, this huge facility is home to over a dozen footy pitches, found both indoors and outdoors.
130,000 square feet is dedicated to just their indoor facility alone, which houses the first four (4) fields.
The first four (4) of these fields can be found indoors, each measuring 195 by 95 feet, making them the ideal size for either 7v7 or 6v6 games. You’ll find these fields in pairs, with the first two located on the west side of the building and the other two on the east end.
Each pitch is equipped with state-of-the-art synthetic turf and has scoreboards installed for your convenience.
We’ll include a parking map near the end of the blog, but if you plan on playing indoors, you’ll want to head to the Upper Level Paved Lot, which is located immediately in front of the building. Feel free to refer to the map for any further clarification.
Let’s talk about Farmington Sports Arena’s spacious outdoor complex now, which boasts well over 24 acres of prime real estate conveniently located off of Route 6, making it easily accessible no matter which direction you’re coming from.
The other nine (9) soccer fields that the facility offers can be found scattered throughout this complex. Three unique field sizes can be found here, giving you the choice of playing the beautiful game the way you prefer.
The smallest of these are a pair of 6v6/7v7 fields, which are just about the same size as the four found back inside that we already covered. You can find these adjacent to each other, immediately east of the main building.
The next game size up is 8v8, which can be played on another pair of pitches, these located on the south end of the complex. Unlike the rest of the fields, this particular zone features natural grass, so be sure to swap out the turf boots for FG ones if you plan on playing on this surface.
The final playable size outdoors is just about as classic as it gets: 11-a-side. That’s right: you can enjoy full-field matches on the remaining fields available at this complex. For reference, one of these is located in the natural grass zone, and the others use artificial surface.
What’s the point of having outdoor fields if they can’t even be used after hours when the sun goes down? Luckily, Farmington Sports Arena comes through in this department, offering high-performance lighting on Fields 5, 6, 7 and 8. The natural grass zone does not have lighting installed.
Oh, and spectators aren’t left out of the equation, either. Fields 6, 7 and 8 are each equipped with bleacher seating. Meanwhile, restrooms can be found between Fields 6 and 7, as well as a concessions building.
Speaking of concessions, there’s also one inside of their building for those balling out on the fields found there. A final amenity that might interest you is an official gear shop of Farmington Sports Arena, where you can get your hands on all kinds of gear from the biggest sports brands like Nike, Adidas & more.
Being the home of some of the best fields for the beautiful game, they don’t just go to waste. Leagues & tournaments for all ages and skill levels as well as camps for youth players happen at Farmington Sports Arena year-round.
