Where it all began! Miami is where Plei calls home. Since partnering with our first facility, we have now expanded to over 20 facilities across Miami-Dade County. 😎
Since October 2020, we have been hosting pickup games at Downtown Soccer, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many more years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
One of the longest standing pickup soccer venues in all of South Florida, Downtown Soccer is located just a block away from the beautiful Miami River, where boats and yachts casually pass by all day, every day. The facility features two 5v5/6v6 fields, measuring 120 by 60 sq. ft., that are each equipped with brand new turf that is well-maintained throughout the year. After all, they wouldn’t have lasted this long if they didn’t have high-quality grass.
The entire establishment features stadium lighting, making it a great spot to play at during vibrant nighttime Miami hours. You’ll also find a concession stand where you can select from a wide variety of snacks and drinks.
While playing, you’ll notice beautiful soccer-themed artwork on the walls, which add to the beautiful game experience.
If you’re looking to chill before or after your pickup game, feel free to stop by the social area and take a seat at any of the picnic tables or bleachers. This area is completely covered, so you won’t have to worry about the blazing South Florida sun while relaxing.
Downtown Soccer offers everything from casual pickup games via Plei to tournaments and leagues throughout the year. Various age groups are available for both men and women. It’s also a suitable facility for field rentals, birthday parties, corporate events and other private gatherings!
