Way back in July 2019, Plei expanded outside Florida for the first time, partnering with multiple facilities in Houston, Texas. 🚀

We are excited to announce a brand new partnership, this time with Cancha Five Stars! As part of an ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

These local H-Town soccer fields are undergoing a brand-new chapter in their existence, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. 👀

Located in the Uptown district of Houston, Texas, Cancha Five Stars is an outdoor pickup facility that boasts a total of two (2) artificial turf fields. 2️⃣

These pitches are uniquely designed for 7v7 play, which is precisely what you’ll be able to enjoy thanks to Plei. 📲

Cancha Five Stars had been operating for about three years before new ownership took over in early 2024. Since then, they have been working hard to put their facility on the map and improve their overall brand. ⚒️

One way they’re working to establish themselves as a prime venue for the beautiful game in Houston is by offering attractive leagues & tournaments and other programming. At the moment, they are running a 10-team adult league on their turf, and they also offer field rentals per hour. 🗓️

If you plan on playing some pickup footy at Cancha Five Stars at any point throughout the week, here’s some helpful tips you’ll want to keep in mind:

• Parking is plentiful on weekdays, but becomes very limited on weekends due to the flea market happening on the same site 🅿️
• Parking lot is located immediately north of the facility ⬆️
• A taco truck is available on-site (located in the parking lot) 🌮
• Water and energy drinks sold by Cancha Five Stars 🥤

At the moment, Cancha Five Stars does not have a social media or website presence, but they are actively working on achieving them. They have set their eyes on creating an Instagram profile as well as a full-fledged website by May 2024. ⏳

They also have plans to improve their facility, adding things like dedicated spectator areas, restrooms, scoreboards, and much more. 👀
