Way back in July 2019, the Plei expanded outside Florida for the first time, partnering with multiple facilities in Houston, Texas. As of October 2024, we now boast a presence at over 40 different places to play the beautiful game in the region! 🚀

Canchas Five Star continues its mission to become a major part of the H-Town footy scene by adding a third location in Space City! And just like their other two locations, Hillcroft St and Sugarland, their Fuqua spot boasts high-quality soccer pitches that any player would dream of showcasing their talents on.
Canchas Five Star Fuqua features one large turf field for 11-a-side that’s been divided into three (3) smaller pitches suited for 6v6 games. With high nets and overhead lights surrounding these fields, you’ll get to enjoy nonstop footy action at any time of day!
What more can a baller ask for?
Hosting leagues, tournament play and special occasions, Canchas Five Star’s Fuqua pitches are a vital part of the community. Make sure to inquire about how to join a league so that you can try your hand at winning a beautiful piece of silverware! With so much space available here, you can even book their fields for weddings, graduation ceremonies and community gatherings too.
These pitches don’t just host excited adult footy matches and local events. Canchas Five Star’s Fuqua fields are also home to Athletic Houston FC, a youth team that is dedicated to developing future stars of the beautiful game while promoting sportsmanship, excellence and dedication. They host a U12 summer league and an HYSA league for both U13 and U8.
It’s a common thing to develop an appetite after playing an intense footy pickup game.
Living true to their name, Canchas Five Star Fuqua boasts top-quality food available at the pitch in case you get hungry. Their food truck, aptly named Taqueria Las Canchas, offers tacos, tortas and much more. And you know how the Texas sun can be, so don’t forget to order a cold and refreshing drink as well!
It’s important to note that the Cancha Five Star brand had been around for a couple years prior to new ownership taking over early in 2024. With new management at the helm, the Cancha team have been striving to make a name for themselves in the surrounding soccer community. And with fields like these popping up across H-Town, they’re well on their way to achieve that!
At the moment, Cancha Five Stars does not have a social media or web presence, but they are actively working on achieving them. They have set their eyes on creating an Instagram profile as well as a full-fledged website soon.
Plei first hosted a pickup game at Canchas Five Star’s Fuqua location on April 17, 2024, and we continue to play here today.
