On March 1, 2020, we announced Plei’s entrance into its third market, Orlando, FL! 🎢
We were so excited to finally welcome Central Florida to our family, but as luck would have it, the pandemic happened. We waited patiently (and we know our Orlando ballers were waiting patiently too) until finally in January 2021, we relaunched! 🔥
Beyond our partnerships with private pickup facilities, we also work to have a presence at the fields found at local public parks! Airport Lakes Park is one of those. As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner fields in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Situated immediately north of Orlando International Airport (MCO), Airport Lakes Park is everything you’d expect out of a public park named as such. Not only is it literally next to an airport, but it’s also right beside a lake. 🌊
No catfishing to worry about here. 😅
However, what you may not know about this park is that it’s a hub for all things 11v11 footy. ⚽
That’s right: Airport Lakes Park is home to not one, but two (2) full-sized natural grass fields, offering the opportunity for local Orlando ballers to enjoy the world’s game in its most natural, authentic form. 🤩
Combine this with the fact that you’re bound to see a countless number of aircrafts fly by throughout your pickup game, and you’ve got quite the unique experience of the beautiful game at your disposal. 😎
Like we mentioned, this is a lakeside park, with paths leading to a pier offering awesome panoramic views of Lake Warren. We highly recommend taking a stroll through these paths and enjoying a bit of nature before or after your pickup game. It’s always a stress-relieving experience. 😉
If you get lucky, you may have close encounters with some members of the animal population that calls the nature areas of Airport Lakes Park home. Just make sure you respect them and keep your distance, of course. 🐢
Developed with the help of a $500,000 Florida Communities Trust grant, park users can enjoy the great outdoors by hiking on the nature trail and boardwalk, fishing, picnicking, playing soccer and using the playground. 🛝
For those looking for a different active recreational amenity, a disc golf course can be found here. 🥏
Public parking, bike racks, restrooms and drinking fountains are available as well. 👌
