There was no better way to make our presence felt in the Northwest than to arrive in the region’s largest city, and we did just that in September 2024. Plei’s 27th market to date is none other than Seattle, Washington! ☔

It’s not often we get the privilege to cover a facility with such a long history behind them. Fortunately, we get to do it now with Snohomish Sports Dome, formerly known as the Snohomish Soccer Dome.
As you might expect with that sort of name change, SSD was previously dedicated to serving up high-quality spaces and programming exclusively for the beautiful game. That eventually changed, with the owners deciding to expand their reach and cater to a broader, more general athletic audience.
They made this happen by updating their one boarded soccer field, which measures about 158 by 85 feet, to accommodate more than just one sport. Although nothing has changed as far as footy is concerned - you can enjoy nonstop 7v7 on it - the pitch can now be used for lacrosse, football, baseball, gymnastics, cheer, softball, dodgeball, yoga; you name it.
Naturally, having “soccer” in their name wouldn’t make more sense when their field is the definition of adaptable.
Let’s circle back to what stands out most about Snohomish Sports Dome; 34+ years in business. How incredible is that?
Three and a half decades serving the local athletes isn’t just something that happens. It takes a lot of hard work, and from a visitor’s perspective, it’s got to be a fun place to play at to begin with.
Luckily, SSD is as exciting as they come. Despite having just one field to their name, their long list of programming is more than enough to keep players coming through their doors time and time again. From their vibrant adult & youth soccer leagues, Nike soccer camps and various sports academies to field, party & event rentals and the occasional tournament, the facility makes sure to check all the boxes.
As if they weren’t certified enough, Snohomish Sports Dome is also the home of Snohomish Sky FC, a semi-pro club with men’s and women’s teams that play both indoors and outdoors. Their indoor teams play all their home games at SSD, while the outdoor ones play at Snohomish High School.
