Our September winner may not have realized it in the moment, but his victory is a pretty important one. โจ
With 36 games played throughout the past month, Miguel G is officially our Player of the Month for the very first time! But thatโs not the only feat that has been achieved here. ๐
Miguel plays his Plei App footy in Houston, which means that the crown has returned to the Space City in back to back months; this time with no spoils shared. The most crucial detail of all, though, is that H-Town is now level with DFW for all-time POTM wins, with each region boasting 6 crowns. This reminder probably isnโt necessary, but we canโt help ourselves. South Florida players are still lightyears ahead, with the region having topped the leaderboard on an incredible 22 occasions since we began counting. ๐คฏ
Itโs still plenty of work to do for our Texas ballers, and we are confident that they are up to the challenge. (This is supposed to serve as motivation, BTW). ๐
Nevertheless, congrats to Miguel on his first-ever gold medal! ๐ย
Stay with us now, because a number of familiar faces made it into the Top 15 this month, including a handful of ex-champs. The first of those is crown-holder Sergio S, who has secured a silver medal finish for his September efforts that saw him put up 35 games. Thatโs a new personal best for the Venezuelan! ๐
This sort of performance goes to show how the competition has skyrocketed in the past year. 9 times out of 10, 35 games would get you a gold medal. Crazy, right? ๐ฒ
Frenchman Sam B returns to the Top 15 for the first time since his July debut with a strong 33 games played. That earns the South Floridian not only a new personal best badge, but also a highest placement one. ๐ซ๐ท
Another champ makes his way into the leaderboard: itโs Donald S! With 29 matches under his belt during September, the American marks his eighth appearance of 2024 in style by finishing just short of the podium. He has only failed to appear in one table this year. What a guy. ๐
The second half of our August winners just couldnโt miss out either, could he? It was always going to be difficult to match his golden debut performance last time out, but Aj A has come close enough with 29 games played in September. That earns the Omani pioneer a solid 5th place finish. ๐ด๐ฒ
Up next is Raimel V who marks a second-consecutive leaderboard appearance with a 26-game effort this past month to finish in 6th. Thatโs four total Top 15 placements in 2024 so far for the Cuban baller. ๐ฅ
We already talked about Sergio, but our other current double champ, Curtis C, also makes the table this month! 24 games is what the DFW native achieved in September, which puts him comfortably in 7th place. ๐
Weโve got some strong African representation in our September Top 15, including two players that are the first from their respective countries to ever appear in our recaps! These ballers are Q R (9th) from Liberia ๐ฑ๐ท and Salaheddine L (11th) from Morocco. ๐ฒ๐ฆ
Because of this honorable feat, both players have earned a Pioneer badge to compliment their debuts! ๐ฉ
Meanwhile, Nigerian baller Akintomiwa F is also making his debut! The DMV starโs 23 games played has earned him a commendable 8th place finish. ๐ณ๐ฌ๐
Continuing the Pioneer trend is Laith A, who - as you may remember - is the first ever player hailing from Jordan to make the POTM leaderboard. With 22 games to his name for September, he finishes 10th to make a second-consecutive appearance. ๐ฏ๐ด
Weโve got three more September debutants to highlight: congrats to Nicolas E (12th), Bashar G (13th), and Ali G (14th)! ๐ฅณ
And last but not certainly least, itโs Melchior V in 15th place! He missed out last month, but he has now returned with 20 matches played to mark 6 total appearances so far in 2024. We certainly wonโt be surprised to see him make it 7 or more by the time the year ends. ๐คท

We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 31 different countries filled up our Top 100 in September, with 10 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The โBeautiful Gameโ in the flesh! โฅ๏ธ
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! ๐
๐จREMINDER ๐จ: We no longer use one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link is provided each month. ๐
Here is the final list for the Top 15 players of September 2024!
As a reminder, here are the prizes for the Top 15 players (updated as of September 2022)!

Fall rankings are looking promising already! We hope to continue crowning first-time champions as the year comes to a close, but we certainly wonโt deny the possibility of an ex-champ adding more medals to their collection. ๐
We also canโt wait for the day a brand-new region tops our leaderboard. A reminder that only South Florida, DFW and Houston players have ever gotten the job done. ๐
