🦃 A new champion has gobbled up the rest of the competition! 🦃
For the first time in Plei App history, a new winner has emerged at the peak of Player of the Month rankings that is not from South Florida! 😱 Introducing… (drumroll sounds 🥁) Sanjay Thap from the Dallas region!!! With 19 games played, Sanjay takes the title of November 2022 Player of the Month!
Sanjay makes further history for a unique reason: his 19 matches in November is actually the fewest games ever played by a first place winner since we began collecting POTM data, one short of the 20 games played by Man Shum in our inaugural leaderboard back in May. Slow month for the rest of the competition? 😅
The leaderboard this month was very close! Yussef G and Sebastian Delgado Blanco, who placed 2nd and 3rd place respectively, both played 18 matches, just one short of matching Sanjay. Had Yussef played one more match, he would have won first place off of the 2022 total games played tiebreaker. We applaud his efforts as well as Sebastian’s this month! 👏
Smigh is back! Our September co-champion makes his fourth consecutive appearance in a Top 100 leaderboard, playing 17 matches in November to secure 4th place. Meanwhile, none other than Berk Serbetcioglu has played the same amount of games as Smigh to place 5th. He also makes his 4th consecutive appearance in our leaderboards. 4️⃣
Someone give this guy the Plei App Ballon d’Or already! Man Shum places 6th in November rankings with 16 games played, continuing his streak of appearing in every single POTM Top 15 since its May debut; INCREDIBLE! 😮 The Plei App 🐐🤔⁉️
August 2022 champion Felix A once again places in the top 15, securing a 7th place finish with 16 games played. This marks his 5th consecutive appearance in the POTM Top 100! Fun fact: Felix has appeared in all but one leaderboard, having missed out back in June. What a year he has had on the Plei App! 😅
Congratulations to Lenyn Navea for achieving his first ever top 15 finish! The man from Peru placed 8th in November with 16 games played. This also marks his second ever (and consecutive) appearance in the Top 100! 🙌
Another player who has never failed to make it into our monthly Top 100 is Jhojan Moreno. He played 15 times in November to grab himself a 9th place finish. Jhojan, who plays his Plei App footy in the Houston region, achieved his highest ever leaderboard placement back in June, when he played 19 times to land in 5th place! Is he a contender for top spot in December? 🤔
Time to shout out our Plei App veterans!
We mentioned him last month, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about him again! Ariel Dahan, who joined in November 2018, has placed 14th this month with 14 games played. It’s his 3rd appearance in the Top 15, and we should also note that he has made it into every single Top 100 since May!
Another veteran is Aaron Isaac Eskenazi, who joined in January of 2019. He’s at 90 games for the year! We also have to mention Rakin Sharuz, who has now made it into the top 15 a total of 5 times. His best ever placement was 2nd place back in July! He joined in February of 2019 and placed 10th this month. We love our Plei App veterans! 😁
Although we witnessed our first ever champion from a region other than South Florida in Sanjay Thap (Dallas), South Floridians filled up all but two other spots in the top 15! What will be the next region to come out victorious? 🤔
We want to shout out the rest of our top 15: Ernesto Perdomo (11th), Pedro Sebastian (12th), Keni Mezarina (13th) and Javi Perrigo (15th)! 👏
We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 34 different countries filled up our top 100 in November, with 10 of those countries being represented in the top 15. Overall, 130+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The “Beautiful Game” in the flesh!

Every month, we will be celebrating our top 15 players based on games played:
4th through 15th placed players will receive 1 free game credit and 1 free shirt
2nd and 3rd placed players will receive 2 free game credits and 2 free shirts
The #1 player of the month will receive3 free Plei App dry fits to wear at the games plus 3 free game credits
Overall, our top 15 players played a grand total of 240 times between them in November. And our top 100 players of the month played a total of 1,137 times!
Here are some stats for the entirety of 2022: our November top 100 have played a combined total of 6,655 times this year, the top 15 have played 1,575 times and our new top 3 of Sanjay, Yussef and Sebastian have a combined total of 245 games between them in 2022!
