The trophy has returned to South Florida just in time for the summer, and we just knew this baller was going to be the reason. ๐
Itโs safe to say that he finally got tired of collecting so many silver medals. We are proud to officially crown Taka S, our Japanese Pioneer, as Plei App Player of the Month! Heโs truly come a long way from initially debuting in the Top 15 back in November 2023. Who knew what he would go on to accomplish? ๐
Taka doesnโt just receive the privilege of seeing his name written in gold for the first time, but he has also earned two badges for his June efforts: the highest placement badge (which obviously can no longer be earned once youโve hit first place) and the new personal best badge thanks to his 32 games played. He also joins a very limited pool of players as one of six Pioneers to top our rankings since we began counting. ๐
Silver on their debut! Itโs Dani S from Houston who comes out of nowhere to put up an incredible 28-game performance to set the tone for the rest of the summer. With this sort of effort, we expect to see more of her in the coming months. ๐
Our June 2024 table is turning out to be quite a special one, and our bronze winner gives us even more reason to believe that. Playing 26 games to finish on the podium is none other than Kenned M, which may seem like a new name for those who are newer to these blogs. However, the Houston baller is far from new: Kenned actually belongs to the OG Top 15 players that appeared when we first began the POTM series way back in May 2022. ๐
Over 2 years later, he finally returns, and what better way to do it than by earning a bronze medal and new personal best & highest placement badges in the process? ๐
Whatโs more is that he represents El Salvador alongside two other players who debuted in that OG leaderboard, so he earns a Pioneer badge as well. ๐ธ๐ป
Consistency is his middle name: Donald S is back once again, marking his 5th leaderboard appearance in 2024 with 25 games, equalling his personal best that he achieved last month. The American has appeared in all but one POTM table this year! ๐ฒ
A month on from making his leaderboard debut, Raimel A manages to improve on his May efforts. The Cuban baller earns a new personal best badge with his 23 games played, as well as a new highest placement badge for finishing 5th place. ๐
Unfortunately, he missed out in May, but this LA baller is back to make his third POTM appearance this year! Of course, weโre talking about Anthony G, who played 21 times in June to rise up to 6th place, now his best ever placement. Heโll have to do a bit more to break his personal best of 22 games, a figure he achieved when he debuted in 15th back in March. ๐ข
Our second new face of the month hails from Jamaica; his name is Anthony S! This baller plays his Plei App footy over in Houston and managed a solid 21 games to welcome in the summertime. The first and only time a Jamaican appeared in our rankings was March 2023, so Anthony should be very proud of this achievement! ๐ฏ๐ฒ
Back for the first time since debuting back in July 2023 is J R, who is our Angolan Pioneer! The South Floridian managed 21 games in June to finish 8th, which means he now boasts a new personal best and highest placement. ๐ฆ๐ด
Sometimes we have no choice but to live with the reality that all streaks come to an end. That was the case with ex-champ Sergio S last month, who failed to appear in the Top 15 for the first time since July 2023. Nonetheless, heโs back again in June with a 20-game performance to finish in 9th place. Weโre backing the Venezuelan 100% to start up a new streak. ๐ค๐ค
Yet another Pioneer makes the Top 15 this month! This time itโs Laith A from Jordan, whoโs 20 games have earned him a new highest placement of 10th place. This is Laithโs second all-time appearance in the Players of the Month leaderboards, first debuting back in August 2023. Welcome back, Laith! ๐
Some more debutants fill out the next few spots. Congrats goes out to Mario Z (11th), S R (12th) and Ime E (13th) and Carlos R (15th)! ๐ฅณ
You may have noticed we jumped over 14th place. Donโt worry, that was on purpose, because this particular player isn't making his debut. Jose F returns to the scene for the first time since January! The Mexican baller from Houston made 6 appearances throughout 2023, once finishing as high as 2nd place with 27 games in August of that year. We can only hope that heโs back and here to stay! ๐ค

We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 30 different countries filled up our Top 100 in June, with 12 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The โBeautiful Gameโ in the flesh! โฅ๏ธ
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! ๐
๐จREMINDER ๐จ: We no longer use one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link is provided each month. ๐
Here is the final list for the Top 15 players of June 2024!
As a reminder, here are the prizes for the Top 15 players (updated as of September 2022)!

The trophy is back in the hands of our South Florida ballers, extending the regionโs win count to 20. ๐คฏ
โIโve learned that winning isnโt everything, and itโs more about the journey. But at the end of the day, I just want to stand on the podium with the gold medal.โ - Hope Solo ๐บ๐ฒ
