π¨ 3-PEAT ALERT! π¨
Thatβs it, heβs done it. History has been made. πΒ
This year, weβve seen everything from records broken, ties for first place, new regions making the Top 15, and plenty of new debutants making names for themselves. All of this and weβre only just halfway through the year. Every month, thereβs some sort of new surprise, some sort of legendary story to be told! πΒ
The biggest story of the year (and probably since we began the Players of the Month blog series), has arrived. βοΈ
This particular player broke onto the scene in April in spectacular fashion, taking 2nd place in his first full month on the Plei App, having just signed up the month prior. The following month, he didnβt let up, and a record-breaking effort of 38 games saw him snatch first place from April champ Bassil A, who had also broken the previous game record. π
That same record was broken once again, once again by the May champ, playing an insane 40 games to leave everyone else in the dust. It was clear by this point that this player wasnβt here to mess around. π₯΅
And now, with 33 games played in July, this South Floridian baller has done it again. Ty S matches the record previously only held by Michael G, becoming the second Plei App player ever to win THREE TIMES, and in 3-peat fashion, no less! πππ
If this isnβt a message to the rest of the Plei App community, we donβt know what is. π
A new face rises to 2nd place! Tyler S, who plays his ball in Houston, puts up a solid 29 games to take silver for the month of July. He is the first of a whopping 8 debutants in this monthβs leaderboard! π
Before we get to those, though, we have some familiar faces to take care of, who have both tied for 3rd in July. π March champ Adrian O grabs a bronze medal for the second month in a row, following a 27-game performance. The Venezuelan man from South Florida has been extremely consistent this year! π
Also taking home bronze is Angie C, who scores her highest ever placement and achieves a new personal record for games played with 27! This Houston baller has been crushing it in 2023 as well! π
The next three spots are new debutants! In 5th, we have Omar K from Lebanon, who played 22 times to take 5th. In 6th, itβs Fares E from South Florida, who locks in his placement with 21 games. Yousef G also played 21 times, and tiebreaker rules put him at a solid 7th! Congrats to these ballers, we hope to see more of you three going forward! π
Christopher K takes 8th place with 20 games! This result means that he is now on back-to-back leaderboard appearances, pushing his total Top 15 placements for the year to three. Keep it up, Christopher! π₯
Up next: a new debutant makes history! Andres R played 20 times to grab hold of 9th place for July. This may seem relatively normal at first, but the Peruvian has achieved this result being the first player ever from Orlando to make the Top 15! We are so happy to see more representation from our growing regions. O-Town ballers, you know what to do now! π’
Three things are certain in life: death, taxesβ¦ and Michael J appearing in the POTM leaderboard. The Hong Kong baller keeps his record Top 15 appearance streak alive and well, this time taking 10th place with 19 games played. If this streak ever ends, itβll truly be a sad day for the Plei App community. π₯Β
Familiar faces take 11th and 12th for July! First off, we have Yussef G, who played 19 times this past month. The Colombian has appeared in all but two leaderboards this year! Meanwhile, we have Jose F, who marks his third Top 15 appearance in 2023 with a 19-game performance as well. Congrats, gentlemen! π€π€
Taking our last spots for July are our final three debutants! Congrats to Eddie A (Houston/Guatemala), Oge O (Houston/United States) and J R (South Florida/Angola), who all played 19 games! More of the same next month? π₯³

We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 43 different countries filled up our top 100 in July, with 9 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The βBeautiful Gameβ in the flesh! β₯οΈΒ
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! π
π¨REMINDER π¨: Throughout 2023, we will not be using one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link will be provided each month. π
