Happy New Year from all of us at the Plei App! π
We hope you enjoy our final Players of the Month blog of 2023. We look forward to crowning new winners this year! π
We didnβt expect our final leaderboard of the year to look like this, but that sums up exactly how 2023 went for the Plei App Players of the Month. π
Last month, we saw a record 10 players make their debuts in the Top 15, a feat weβd never previously witnessed. Who knew that exactly a month later, weβd see that record break once again! A dozen Plei App ballers have found themselves in the POTM leaderboard for the very first time, with only three players who have previously made appearances making it in. π²
Whatβs more is that two of those three players debuted in November, which means that 14 of the 15 players in Decemberβs leaderboard debuted within the last two months. Incredible! π
Okay, letβs talk about our winner nowβ¦ or should we say, winners! Thatβs right, we have not one but two gold medalists to close out 2023! These two couldnβt be separated last month, playing 25 games each to share the first-place pedestal. Congrats to both Jose C and Christi F for becoming the last Plei App champions of the year! π₯
Jose is one of the two players to have debuted in November, placing 10th with 18 games played that month. Meanwhile, Christi is making his debut, and what better way to do it than by securing first place! Both Jose and Christi play their Plei App footy in Houston, so theyβre really putting on for their region. π
Congrats, guys! We hope you both enjoy your first-place prize of three (3) free Plei App dry fits and three (3) free game credits. π
As we have two players sharing first place, we automatically move onto third place. That being said, taking bronze in December is Bennet A with 24 games played. One more game and we wouldβve had three players sharing gold. π
Bennet is a leaderboard debutant as well, and he only joined 3 days into December! The Dallas baller was not messing about last month. He is also the first ever Ethiopian to make our leaderboard. Congrats, Bennet! π₯³
From fourth place all the way to 11th, we have exclusively players making their leaderboard debuts this month! π
In 4th we have Kevin D, who hails from Cuba and plays his footy in South Florida. He played 21 games in December. π¨πΊ
In 5th place, itβs Edward V, who balls out in Dallas. He played 21 times last month to secure his position within the Top 5. Camilo P finishes in 6th place with 20 games played. The Colombian plays his pickup footy in South Florida. π¨π΄
In 7th is Marc H, who also plays in South Florida! Like Camilo, he also played 20 times, but took the next position over due to the β2023 Times Playedβ tiebreaker. π
Iraqi baller Samer A takes 8th place with 19 games played. He plays his Plei App footy in Dallas. π€
He may have finished in 9th place, but if we were judging off of best profile pictures, then Santiago T takes the gold medal. The Colombian man played 19 games in December, and like many others in this leaderboard, represents our H-Town region. π
Also a Houston baller, Laurent A finishes in 10th place with 18 games played. He also has some footy experience out in Dallas. ππ€
Finding himself in 12th place is the only leaderboard veteran in Decemberβs Top 15, Sergio S! With 17 games played, he finishes the year on a 5-month streak of appearing in the leaderboard. This placement also means that the Venezuelan managed to make it into the table nine times in 2023, a record that no other player could achieve! π
In 13th place, Petar L makes his debut with 17 games played in Denver. He becomes the first ever Plei App user from Bulgaria to make the leaderboard! π§π¬
Emil T from Dallas makes it into the Top 15 for a second month in a row after debuting in spectacular fashion the month before! He finished in 2nd place in November with 25 games played, and managed 17 games in December to take 14th. Letβs go, Emil! π Last but certainly not least, a final debutant makes the Top 15! Congrats to Bikram K, who plays out in Houston. He played 17 times.

Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The βBeautiful Gameβ in the flesh! β₯οΈΒ
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! π
π¨REMINDER π¨: Throughout 2023, we are not using one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link is provided each month. π
