For the second time this year, we have no choice but to hand out two crowns in one month. 😅
What can we say? They both deserve it, don’t they? 🤷
Returning to the peak of the POTM mountain is the Venezuelan man himself, Sergio S! Playing 30 times in August to smash his previous personal best of 26 games, the South Floridian has gotten the job done for the second time in his Plei App career. This achievement now puts him as one of two players to currently hold double-champ status, as well as one of just four players to have finished in first place on more than one occasion. 💯
But just like his initial victory back in January, he has to share the spoils with someone else. Also playing 30 games to earn himself a gold medal is Aj A, who is not only making his Top 15 debut, but he also becomes the first ever player from Oman to feature in our monthly reviews! 🇴🇲
Because of that unique status, the Houston baller has earned himself a Pioneer badge to compliment his newfound golden status. 🚩
As we skip over 2nd place for August, it’s Raimel V earning bronze, once again improving on his previous result! The Cuban baller marks his third all-time Top 15 appearance (achieved in 4 months) with a 29-game performance, hence setting a new personal best as well as a new highest placement record. 🏅
Let’s see if he can continue this trend and grab himself a silver or gold medal for September. 👀
Our most recent champion was never going to miss out on his victory lap month! Donald S returns with another strong performance, appearing in 27 Plei App games this past month. As a result, the American has finished in 4th place, just short of the podium. 👌
Keep in mind that Donald has appeared in all but one leaderboard this year! 😳
Another player managed the same number of games as him in August, but falls to 5th place because of the “2024 Times Played” tiebreaker. This is none other than our Jordan Pioneer Laith A, who you might recall returned to the Top 15 this past June, his first appearance since his debut exactly a year ago in our August 2023 review. 📃
The South Floridian marks the occasion with a 27-game effort, which earns him a new personal best badge as well as a new highest placement badge. 🔥
The DMV is back once again! Costa Rican Pioneer Greivin C showed out for his region last month, but this time it’s Tony M getting it done! With his 24 games played throughout the month of August, the American has made his Top 15 debut in style. 🦅
A familiar face has returned! Fabio C has made three all-time POTM appearances, the first of these being way back in October 2022. After over a year, the Cuban came back into the mix in 7th place, earning both personal record badges with a 21-game performance. 🆒
6 months later, and he’s placed in 7th again! Not to mention a brand-new personal best of 23 games to show for it. 😆
Cubans are really making themselves seen this year, by the way. We can’t help but think Kevin D’s victorious efforts back in January had something to do with it. After making his debut in July, Cesar R is back again, this time finishing in 8th place to earn a new highest placement badge. 🇨🇺
Although he didn't break his personal games played record, he did do enough to match it. 🟰
Previously making his debut this past June with a strong 21-game performance to finish 7th place, Anthony S appears for the second time this year. The baller hailing from Jamaica played 23 times over in Houston, hence establishing a new personal best. 🚀
You might recall that we gave out not one, but two bronze medals in July, and one of these recipients has returned to make a second-consecutive Top 15 appearance! We’re talking about American DK K, who reps Los Angeles. Although he isn’t quite able to match his efforts last time out, a solid 23-game performance is still enough for him to finish in 10th. 👍
We’ve got three more August debutants to highlight: congrats to Daniel A (11th), Miguel G (14th), and Nicolas R (15th)! 🥳
We briefly jumped over them, but it’s Robert S and Andres R taking up our 12th and 13th places, respectively. Robert earns himself a new highest placement badge after his 14th place debut last month. Meanwhile, Orlando native Andres secures a second-consecutive appearance this year after returning this past July, exactly a year on from his last Top 15 placement! 📆
We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 27 different countries filled up our Top 100 in August, with 7 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The “Beautiful Game” in the flesh! ♥️

2nd and 3rd placed players will receive 2 free game credits and 2 free shirts
The #1 player of the month will receive3 free Plei App dry fits to wear at the games plus 3 free game credits
Overall, our Top 15 players played a total of 370 times between them in August. Meanwhile, our Top 100 players of the month played a total of 1,773 times! 🙌
