π THE STREAK IS OVER! π
If thereβs something to take away from this leaderboard, itβs that nothing lasts forever. πΒ
Despite going on a record run to become the Plei Appβs second-ever triple champion, winning in three consecutive months, it wasnβt meant to be for Ty S in August. He only needs one more 1st place finish to separate himself from the rest and become the first player to top our leaderboard four times, and unfortunately, that feat will have to wait at least another month. π’Β
Ty hands over the crown to a new champion, John G from South Florida! The Colombian baller played 33 times in the month of August; he only signed up on the first day of the month! He joins an exclusive group of players that became champions as new debutants. Congrats, John! π
Personal best alert! π¨
Jose F from Mexico takes second place for August; he played 27 times, which is now his most-ever games played in a single month, as well as his highest ever placement since signing up in late January. Keep it up, Jose! ππ₯
Grabbing bronze is Melchior V, who also achieves a personal best with 26 games played! The South Floridian has previously finished in 3rd place in the past, so although he managed a personal record of games, he would have to secure at least silver to receive the highest placement badge. Still a great achievement, and we commend Melchior for his efforts this past month! π₯
Three games short of podium status, Yussef G is back to extend his streak of Top 15 appearances to 3 months in a row. The Colombian played 23 times in August and improved on his last two placements, also putting in a personal best performance to break his previous record of 22 games in a month from back in March. We applaud his efforts! πΒ
Sergio S finds himself in 5th place after playing 22 games in August. We welcome him back into the Top 15 after missing out two months in a row; the Venezuelan had appeared from February through May but didnβt make it into the June and July leaderboards. Itβs a new personal best for him, too. Vamos, Sergio! π
Three special debutants fill up our 6th, 7th and 8th positions for this month! First up, we have Peruvian baller Harrinson T, who takes 6th with 21 games played. We want to point out the special fact that Harrinson plays his Plei App footy in Los Angeles, a region that we donβt see appear often in the Top 15. In fact, only one other LA-based player has appeared in a leaderboard this year! We love to see representation from our growing regions across the country. π₯
Houston ballers Travis T and David C also played 21 times, taking 7th and 8th place, respectively. We hope to see more of these guys going forward! π
We have two ex-champs up next in the leaderboard! In 9th, we have the man of the hour himself, Ty S, who still has plenty to celebrate despite missing out on a mind-blowing 4th consecutive crown. He managed 20 games to find himself in the Top 10 for the 5th month in a row since his first full month on the app. π³
Congrats also goes out to Mr. Inevitable, Michael J, once again making himself present in our Top 15 with 20 games played to secure 10th place this past month. The inaugural champ never fails to impress. π₯
Itβs now four Top 15 appearances in a row this year for Houston baller Angie C! She played 20 times to extend her streak and finish in 11th, following her July performance that saw her tie for bronze. Keep up the consistency, Angie! π
Taking spots 12th through 15th for August are the following players: Ariel D (South Florida/Israel), Princess K (Maryland/USA), Laith A (South Florida/Jordan) and Fares E (South Florida/USA). Congrats everyone! π

We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 27 different countries filled up our Top 100 in August, with 8 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 112+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The βBeautiful Gameβ in the flesh! β₯οΈ
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! π
π¨REMINDER π¨: Throughout 2023, we will not be using one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link will be provided each month. π
Here is the final list for the Top 15 players of August 2023!
As a reminder, here are the prizes for the Top 15 players (updated as of September 2022)!
