We canโt believe weโre having to write this, but after what we said in last monthโs blog, we had it coming. If you read our March 2023 POM blog, you may recall that the record for most games played in a single month by a Plei App user was broken by Adrian O. The man from Venezuela played a total of 31 times, therefore breaking the high score of 29 games previously held by Michael G. ๐
We challenged you all to play 32 games in a month in order to break the record once more. In no way did we think it would happen again so soon, but it happened! Introducing our latest champion, Bassil A, who has played not 32 games, not 33, but 34 games in the month of April! ๐ฅ Surely now this canโt be topped, but the way 31 games were beaten so quickly, we arenโt going to jump to conclusions. ๐
Congratulations to Bassil on this amazing achievement, he only joined the Plei App last month! Now the question is, how long will he hold onto this record? ๐ค
We also want to highlight the fact that Bassil has become only the second player from the Dallas region to top our monthly rankings, after Sanjay T did it first back in November of last year. Naturally, this also means that he is the third player from a region that isnโt South Florida to win, and the first to do so this year! ๐๏ธ
Taking second place with 27 games played is Ty S from South Florida! ๐ฅ Also only joining this past March, Ty has rightfully earned the prize of 2 free game credits and 2 free shirts. We hope to continue to see both Bassil and Ty enjoying Plei App pickup soccer for many months and years to come. ๐ย
Some familiar faces have tied for 3rd place in April! With 25 games played, veteran Rakin S takes a bronze medal. ๐ฅ With this placement, he remains one of the few players to appear in all the Top 15 leaderboards so far this year. Putting himself on the podium as well with the same amount of games played as Rakin is Berk S, who has once again matched his personal best. ๐
Some more history has been made! Coming in 5th place with 23 games is Zack L, who becomes the first player from our Los Angeles region to appear in the Top 15! Zack only joined back in February, so weโre happy to see him enjoying the app to the fullest! The man who hails from Myanmar has definitely earned his free game and shirt! ๐
In 6th and 7th place we have two other Dallas ballers. ๐ค With 22 games played, Jay E from Mexico secures his first Top 15 appearance. He joined in January, so congrats goes out to him! Right behind Jay is John K, who played the same number of games. He has made his Top 15 debut as well! ๐ค
With 21 games played, none other than Michael J finishes in 8th place to make yet another Top 15 appearance. If youโre new to Plei App POTM lore, just know that Michael is one of our most consistent players, as he has never missed out on Top 15 placement since we began tracking our top players in May 2022! We canโt imagine how stacked his Plei shirt collection is. ๐
Last monthโs champion Adrian O has managed his way back into the Top 15! With 20 games played, the Venezuelan is looking to establish himself as a regular in our leaderboard. We can only hope he keeps up these efforts throughout this year. ๐ฅ
Playing just one game short of Adrian is another Venezuelan, Sergio S! With his placement in 10th, he extends his streak of appearing in the Top 15 this year to 3 months in a row. Keep it up, Sergio! ๐
Dual-region player Jose F finishes in 11th with 18 games. The Mexican baller who plays in both Houston and Dallas makes his return to the leaderboard after having appeared for the first time in 6th place this past February. We hope to see even more of him going forward! ๐ค
Michael G, who we know as the Plei Appโs only triple champ who also won his first 2 gold medals on back to back months, makes his second return from injury to finish in 12th. Recall that Mike previously made his long-awaited return to the Top 15 in our February recap after an injury had him out since November. ๐ฅ
Another injury limited his ability to play in March, as he could only catch 13 games, but he was back in full force again for April, playing 18 times! We wish Michael the best of luck going forward; heโs surely going for that 4th trophy this year! ๐

We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 34 different countries filled up our top 100 in April, with 9 of those countries being represented in the Top 15. Overall, 130+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The โBeautiful Gameโ in the flesh! โฅ๏ธ

4th through 15th placed players will receive 1 free game credit and 1 free shirt
2nd and 3rd placed players will receive 2 free game credits and 2 free shirts
The #1 player of the month will receive3 free Plei App dry fits to wear at the games plus 3 free game credits
Overall, our Top 15 players played a total of 327 times between them in April. And our Top 100 players of the month played a total of 1,418 times! ๐
